It's time to
dust off the canoes and kayaks for the upcoming season! I am updating
things here on the web site so check back often for the latest
The spring whitewater
season is very dependant on the snow melt and the amount of spring
rains. Many of the smaller rivers and streams must be enjoyed in the
spring before the natural flow drops and makes them impassable by
watercraft. So far here in Central Maine the snow has melted slowly
but is mostly gone except for the deep in the woods. The streams are running at a
good level a little higher then normal
for this time of the year due to a later then normal snow melt.
I would like to set
up a few dates in early May for beginning whitewater canoe
or kayaking classes. If you have wanted to try paddling on moving
water this is your chance to learn the skills needed and have fun at
the same time! I would like to have at least 3 or 4 for the classes
and the cost would be about $40 per person for a group of four.
They will most likely be in the area near my home in Central Maine
(Bangor area) but would depend on the water levels. Give me a call or send an email if you are interested!
for checking out our website, we
hope you can join us this season! If you have any questions or would
like to discuss your plans please call or email us!
